Special-Needs Pets

Edward__BellaEdward and Bella are a 6- to 7-month-old
brother-sister pair looking to live forever outside of an animal shelter. Their lives began in a window well, where they were born without a human owner to help them in this world. A kindhearted citizen found them and  brought them to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, so that they could have a better future. Unfortunately these two have been sick with upper respiratory infections (colds) for the entirety of their little lives. They seem to be more susceptible to colds than other kitties are, and they may fight infections off and on throughout their lives. There is no cure, but their symptoms can be helped with the right treatments. Since these colds are transmissible to other cats (not people or dogs, though), they should be the only cats in their new home(s).

These two have been in and out of foster homes, veterinary clinics and isolation rooms for most of their young lives, as we have been trying to diagnose and remedy their medical condition. We believe that they deserve much better, and we're hoping that someone out there who has been blessed in life with resources is willing to open their heart and cat-free home to these sweet felines. They are the absolute best, when it comes to personalities! You won't find two friendlier and more loving cats. They are super laid back and appreciative. They are upbeat, even with all that they've faced. They are hoping to get out of their play cage and into a home in which they can still play, play, play as juveniles, before they are all grown up. Edward and Bella have always been together, so it would be wonderful if they could find a home together; but if that's not to be, they would be thrilled to each have their own forever home.

Please, if you think you can help these cuties, stop in today. They are here at our Nicholas Road location, patiently waiting and hoping that this holiday season will be spent in a home full of warmth and love.
