Did you know you can donate your vehicle to help animals locally at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton?
Donating is fast, simple and easy! Plus, your donation is completely tax deductible!
We accept all types of vehicles including:
Cars and Trucks
Motorcycles and Scooters
Buses and RVs
Boats and Personal Watercrafts
What To Do:
All you have to do to donate your vehicle is fill our our brief form here. We will have someone reach out to you to schedule a time for us to tow your vehicle and we will handle the rest! Yes, it is that easy!
When you donate your vehicle, we place it into an auto auction where it is auctioned off. With the exception of a small processing fee, all proceeds raised from this auction will then come right back to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton where the money raised will go to help our numerous programs and services including spay/neuter, cruelty/neglect and adoption.
A dime here. A quarter there. It might not seem like much, but when hundreds give, the spare change adds up and helps animals at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
The Donation Box Program is one of our organizations largest ongoing fundraisers. Thanks to volunteers helping to place, monitor and collect donation boxes, last year alone, more than $10,000 was collected in Montgomery County.
How You Can Help
Just how powerful is the small change dropped into the Donation Box?
If every donation box collected $25 monthly from the Donation Boxes , we could raise more than $30,000 to support Humane Society of Greater Dayton animals in our community.
A full Donation Box could give a pet immunizations, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip. The pet will be healthy and ready to go home with their new forever family.
A full Donation Box could provide a pet with a dental screening in a Rascal Unit Care Mobile.
Show your support when you see a Donation Box at a local business by dropping in your spare change. Spread the word and suggest to your friends and family that they do the same.
Turn empty counter space into a benefit for your business, your customers and your community!

What Makes Them Special? Thumper is an adorable little guy that came to our shelter along with many other bunnies after their owner passed away. He's neutered and is quite a tidy fellow with his litter box habits. He's currently in foster care and his foster tells us he's very social, likes to cuddle and really enjoys the times he gets to run and play. His diet consists of timothy hay, pellets and fresh greens daily. His favorite treat? A slice of banana will excite him enough to do a happy dance. Would you like to meet Thumper and see if he's the bunny for you or your family? Please submit a small animal adoption application and let us schedule a time for you to meet him at our shelter. We're certain he'll steal your heart.
What Makes Them Special? This sweetheart is Sarsaparilla (a.k.a."Sassy"). She came all the way from a Kentucky shelter to find her forever home! She is a very sweet girl who would make a great addition to any home! She is peppy enough to spend time playing or go on a nice long walk, but calm enough to hang out and relax at home. She is very sweet and pretty calm so would make a great companion to someone looking for an amazing girl to add to their heart and home! She goes to training through the S.T.A.R.T. training program so will receive two free classes with her adoption to maintain and continue training. She has gone to our pet therapy program (where we visit nursing homes and allow them to interact with the dogs), and our book buddies program (where we take dogs to elementary schools to let them read to and interact with the dogs) and she has done very well in those situations! She LOVES snuggling close to you, getting belly rubs, and giving you lots of kisses. Sassy will need to be the only pet in the home as she doesn't get along well with cats or most other dogs. If you think Sarsaparilla would be the perfect addition to your home, come on in, fill out an application, and spend some time with her!
