UnLEASH The Change: Our Vision for the Future

1. High-Volume Spay/Neuter Clinic

Problem

With more than 50,000 stray cats in our community, the 4,000 we spay/neuter each year is only a drop in the bucket in tackling the pet overpopulation problem

Vision

Create a no-kill community where cats and dogs are not euthanized due to overpopulation

Solution

Create a high-volume spay/neuter facility where we can alter 20,000 animals each year. This increase can help lower cat overpopulation in a humane way

2. Full-Service Animal Hospital

Problem

There is currently no full-service animal hospitals within the City of Dayton making caring for a pet more difficult for families in need. Plus, the Humane Society pay thousands to offsite vets to care for animals in emergency situations

Vision

Provide high-quality medical care to underserved families within our community

Solution

Build a full-service animal hospital where we can offer veterinarian services on a sliding scale and keep healthy pets in their forever homes

3. Cruelty/Neglect Resources

Problem

With limited space, at our current shelter, we must rent emergency housing for animals who come in as part of large cruelty cases

Vision

Give proper shelter and equipment to our cruelty/neglect department to allow them to assist all types of animals who have been abused

Solution

Build a barn onsite and purchase a mobile emergency unit to improve the efficiency of our cruelty/neglect department

4. Adoption Center & Boarding

Problem

With our current facility many of our cages are taken up by animals not yet available for adoption, which limits the animals we can help

Vision

Provide an upscale and inviting environment for people to find and adopt new pets or board their pets while away

Solution

Build an adoption facility at a second location that is in a high-traffic area and can help gain exposure for the pets in our care while also allowing for additional earned revenue via boarding services
