Paws Up committee is an elite group of passionate Humane Society of Greater Dayton (HSGD) volunteers.  Paws Up members are dedicated

to making a difference in the lives of the homeless animals at the HSGD.  Paws Up objectives are to help raise funds, expand the volunteer base for the HSGD and educate others about compassion and caring towards all animals.

 How it works

 ·         15 pairs will be selected for the Paws Up committee

 ·         30 Paws Up members will help plan, coordinate and execute the Humane Society of Greater Dayton’s two largest fundraising events, Furry Skurry 5k and Pet Afflaire

 ·         Paws Up committee will meet 9 times throughout the year

 ·         Two year commitment is required (calendar year)

 ·         Paws Up members will assist with both fundraising events

 ·         Members that play a larger role in one event can take a smaller role in the other event

 ·         All prospective members will be required to fill out a membership application, which will be reviewed and approved by the membership recruitment committee
